nice vexel, I like the different tones you used in his skin, and did it kinda blocky instead of smooth. Did you adjust opacities or use blend modes, or is it just straight changing colours? I've had Illustrator for about four years now. Just don't use it much.

It's almost entirely just straight changing colors, but the places that were too blocky I put large shapes over them with low opacity.

As for hair... yeesh, that was ebil. But I did it first before I got tired out.
Mostly I did highlights first and worked my way down, since his hair is black and I was going to have a solid black background I didn't worry too much about anything other than highlights really... Just try to keep the shapes long and narrow and have them go in the direction the hair is facing.

It's actually my first time vexeling a person so it was largely experimental. I did a lot of stupid stuff trying to find out what worked and what didn't. Don't just stick to one way of doing things.

lol, yesh, I had like... 8 wolf photos, 2 huuuuge human eye photos, 3 screenshots of wolf-link, and that one official pic of him with midna on his back. I was really anal with making this one. xDDD And of course, hug him hug him! That's what he's for! *dance dance*

Yeah, I'm amazed too. I mean, I usually don't have enough patience to get through a simple cell-shaded anime vector.

probably because it's boring, though. I like challenges unless it involves math homework. Then I just want to get it over with.

Haha, GO SEE THEM LIVE WHENEVER POSSIBLE. Even my sister, who's only so-so about Muse and has seen a lot of great bands, said it was her best concert ever.
